Marketing for equipment hire companies that keeps the fleet out on hire
A machine in the yard earns nothing — and the hire goes to whoever answers first. Stop losing the Sunday-night requests. Get a page for every machine you hire, and an assistant that takes the request at 9pm with the dates and the site in it, ready for you to confirm. Month to month, and you can walk away any time.

The problem
Where the work goes now
“Is it available Saturday?” — by phone, all day
Most hire enquiries are the same three questions: what have you got, when, and what does it cost. Answered one call at a time, from someone who is also loading a truck, they are how the counter falls behind.
The job is planned after hours
Builders and homeowners sort tomorrow’s machine tonight. If nobody can take the request until the yard opens, it goes to whoever can — and that is often a national chain with a booking form.
Requests that leave out what matters
A machine and a date, and nothing about the site, the access, delivery or whether they want an operator. Every gap is another call back before you can quote, and another chance for them to ring someone else.
A website that does not show the fleet
People search for the machine, not the company. If your site lists “earthmoving equipment” and nothing else, there is no page for the search to find when someone wants a 1.7 tonne excavator in your area.
The fix
What we build for you
A hire request with everything in it
Most of the back-and-forth on a hire is collecting the same details. Collected first — by a form built around your fleet, or by the assistant as the customer talks — the request reaches you ready to confirm, whatever time it was made.
- The machine, the dates, the site address and the access
- Delivery or pick-up, and with an operator or without
- Whether they have an account with you, so you know how to bill it
- You confirm the hire — she never tells anyone it is booked
What she will never say
A customer acts on what your website and your assistant tell them, and on a hire some of those answers are safety answers. So the rules that matter are enforced in code, not left to the model.
- Never confirms a machine is available or a hire is booked — that is yours to confirm
- Never says whether someone needs a licence or ticket to operate a machine
- Never says whether a machine suits their ground, slope or load
- Never interprets your damage waiver or hire terms, and never names a rate you haven’t approved
The nearest work we have done
We haven’t built for a hire company yet, and we’d rather tell you here than have you find out on a call. The closest is AHO Renovations, a renovation builder in Brisbane — a different business, with the same problem: enquiries that arrive without what you need to answer them. His contact form was broken, his website looked like everyone else’s, and the enquiries that did get through had no detail to sort them by. We rebuilt his website with a new look, a planner that collects the details before anyone rings back, and an assistant that has the first conversation for him. It went live on 5 September 2026.
- Seven enquiries in just over five weeks, and he tells us he’s busier than he’s been
- Every one of the first five arrived with a phone number, a suburb and the stage of the project
- He says customers now arrive “more sure” of what they want
- The jobs he’d only have said no to get turned away by the assistant before they reach his phone
Your fleet, shown as it is
Only machines you actually hire, with your own photos and the specifications from the manufacturer. A machine you sold last year comes off the site, because an enquiry for it is a customer you have to disappoint.
We don’t hand it over and disappear
A new machine in the fleet is a new page worth having. Send us the details and it normally goes up by the next business day. Every month we look at what was asked for, what people searched and what you could not supply, and make the site better.

Questions
Questions equipment hire ask us
Have you worked with hire companies before?
Not yet. Our work so far is with a renovation builder, at AHO Renovations. The part closest to yours is the planner that collects the job’s details before anyone rings back — but we won’t pretend to a track record in your business that we don’t have.
Can the assistant check availability?
Not on her own. She takes the request — machine, dates, site — and says you will confirm. Showing live availability means connecting to your booking system, which depends on the system, and we would look at it with you rather than promise it up front.
Will she tell people whether they need a ticket?
No. Whether someone needs a licence or training to operate a machine is a safety answer, and it is yours. She says you will take them through it.
Can a local hire company outrank the national chains?
Not on the broad searches, and nobody can honestly promise a ranking. On the specific ones — the machine and the area, the job it is for — a local company with a page for each competes, and those are the searches people make when they are ready to hire.
Do you sell leads?
No. We build the thing that brings in your own — the website, the pages that get you found, and the assistant that sorts what comes in. An enquiry from your website goes to you and nobody else.
Am I locked in?
No. After the build it’s month to month, and either of us can end it with 30 days’ notice.
Do you run Google Ads for hire companies?
Yes — once your website is worth sending people to. We run the ads in your own Google Ads account, and you pay Google directly. We can show you which ads turned into hires, not just clicks.
I already have a website. Do I have to start again?
Usually, yes — the machine pages, the hire request and the assistant are built to work together. We bring across whatever is worth keeping, like your reviews and photos. If you’d rather keep your site as it is, we can still have enquiries answered for you without touching it.

Strategy
How equipment hire companies get more hires from their website
People search for the machine, not the hire company, and they plan the job after the yard has closed. Here is what a hire company's website has to do to win those searches — and to take the hire request properly when nobody is at the counter.

What is AI lead qualification?
Software doing the first pass on your enquiries — working out which ones are genuine, chasing the details they arrived without, and passing on what is worth your time. Three quite different surfaces share the name, and the useful versions use more than one.

How much does a website cost in Australia?
Real ranges, how we price ours, and the four things that actually move the number. Most quotes differ because they are for different jobs, not because someone is overcharging.
