Marketing for renovation builders, built to win the bigger jobs
Stop paying for leads other builders got too. Get enquiries that are yours alone, for the jobs you actually want — answered at 9pm while you’re at dinner, and sorted before they reach your phone. Fewer tyre-kickers. Bigger jobs. A name the suburbs start to know. Month to month, and you can walk away any time.

The problem
Where the work goes now
Paying for leads other builders got too
You pay for the lead, ring straight back, and they’ve already had three quotes. The job goes to whoever is cheapest. That’s not winning work, it’s a race to the bottom. An enquiry from your own website went to you and nobody else.
Glued to your phone
The first builder to get back to people usually wins, so you’re checking your phone on the roof, at dinner, at 10pm. Miss one and it’s gone. Miss a few and someone leaves you a one-star review for never getting back to them — and that sits on Google for years.
Free quotes for tyre-kickers
A site visit, a measure-up and a quote is hours of your evening. Plenty of the people asking were never going to build, or only wanted a number to beat someone else down with.
A website that brings in the small stuff
If your website shows a leaking tap the same size as an extension, you get asked about leaking taps. To get the bigger jobs, the website has to be built around them.
The fix
What we build for you
What happened at AHO Renovations
AHO Renovations is a renovation builder in Brisbane. When he came to us, his Google profile views were down 73% on the year before, the contact form on his website was broken — enquiries sent through it never reached him — and the jobs that did get through were mostly small ones. We gave his website a new look, black and gold instead of a plain blue and white, rebuilt it around the bigger work he wants, and put an assistant on it that has the first conversation for him. It went live on 5 September 2026. It’s early days, so everything below is dated.
- 7
- enquiries through the new website
- 7,726
- times Google put his name in front of a searcher
- 839
- views of his Google Business Profile
- $0
- spent on Google Ads
Enquiries to 12 October 2026; Google search for the 28 days to 10 October 2026; Business Profile for 1 September to mid-October 2026. Measured from the site’s own enquiry records, Google Search Console and the business’s Google Business Profile. The old website recorded nothing, so there is no before-figure for any of it. Being shown is not being chosen: most of the searches are small ones, and the enquiries are the figure that matters.
- Seven enquiries in just over five weeks, and he tells us he’s busier than he’s been
- Homeowners from as far as Mango Hill and Victoria Point have got in touch — suburbs his website was never aimed at
- A whole-home renovation enquiry, and an extension that turned up with the plans already drawn
- At or near the top of Google for bathroom renovations in Enoggera, Arana Hills, McDowall and Mitchelton
- The jobs he’d only have said no to get turned away by the assistant before they reach his phone
- He hasn’t spent a dollar on Google Ads
The bigger jobs — now we push
Bathrooms are his bread and butter. Whole-home renovations are where he’s heading, and we held that push back while he grew his team — flood a builder with big jobs before he has the crew to run them and you’ve won him a problem, not a business. Now he’s given us the go-ahead, and we’re turning it up: more of his website, his search and his messaging aimed at the big projects.
The one-star review nobody had to write
In October 2026 we read the Google reviews of 19 Perth renovation builders. Five of them had one-star reviews from homeowners whose enquiry or quote was never answered — seven reviews in all. Four of those five builders still average over four stars. The building wasn’t the problem. Getting back to people was. That’s the gap an assistant on your website closes: every homeowner gets an answer the same night, and the real jobs reach you with the details filled in.
Nine builders in ten can’t answer at 9pm
On 16 October 2026 we checked the websites of 1,377 renovation builders across 12 Australian cities, from Perth to Hobart, and looked at what a homeowner can actually do on them in the evening. On 91% of them, nothing that gets an answer tonight: no live chat, no assistant, no way to book a time. The best on offer is a form to wait on or a number to ring tomorrow. Only 6% had live chat or an assistant on the site at all. So the builder who answers at 9pm isn’t competing with the other builders. Almost none of them are there.
- 91% of renovation builder websites give a homeowner no way to get an answer or book a time after hours
- Only 6% have live chat or an assistant, and 2% let you book a time online
- Nearly all the rest have a form or a phone number — a message that waits until morning
No lock-in, and what we’ll never do
Plenty of builders have been burned by a 12-month contract and a sales rep who only calls when you try to leave. We work differently, and these are promises, not sales talk.
- No lock-in. After the build it’s month to month, and either of us can end it with 30 days’ notice
- Your enquiries are yours. We never sell or share them
- We won’t promise you a number of leads or a spot on Google — anyone who does is guessing with your money
- The assistant never names a price, a start date or a promise you haven’t approved
- Your real reviews and your own photos. Nothing goes on the site under your name that you can’t back up
We don’t hand it over and disappear
Your business changes — a finished job to show off, a new suburb, a kind of work you’ve stopped taking. Send us the change and it normally goes up by the next business day. Every month we look at what came in, what the assistant turned away and what people searched for, and make the site better.

Questions
Questions renovation builders ask us
Do you sell leads?
No. We build the thing that brings in your own — the website, the pages that get you found, and the assistant that sorts what comes in. An enquiry from your website goes to you and nobody else.
Am I locked in?
No. After the build it’s month to month, and either of us can end it with 30 days’ notice. No 12-month contract and no fine print about cooling-off periods.
I’m flat out. How much of my time does this take?
Very little. A short call to start, your best project photos, and a quick yes or no when we check something with you. After that, you tell us what to change and we do it.
Will the chatbot say something I have to stand by?
No. It never names a price, a start date or a promise you haven’t approved — that’s built into it, not left to chance. When it doesn’t know, it passes the enquiry to you.
Do you run Google Ads for builders?
Yes — once your website is worth sending people to. We run the ads in your own Google Ads account, and you pay Google directly. They send homeowners to your website, not to a lead site that shares them around, and we can show you which ads turned into jobs, not just clicks.
How soon will the enquiries start?
Nobody can honestly promise you a date or a spot on Google, and if someone does, ask what happens when they miss it. What we can show you is what happened at AHO, with the dates, above.
I already have a website. Do I have to start again?
Usually, yes — the pages, the planner and the assistant are built to work together. We bring across whatever is worth keeping, like your reviews and project photos. If you’d rather keep your site as it is, we can still have lead-site enquiries answered for you without touching it.
Do you only work with Brisbane builders?
No. We’re based in Brisbane and work with builders across Australia, all by phone and online. Suburb pages work the same wherever your suburbs are.

We checked 4,734 Australian builder websites in 12 cities to see what a homeowner can actually do on them in the evening. On nine in ten, nothing gets them an answer tonight — no chat, no assistant, no way to book a time. Just a form to wait on, or a number to ring tomorrow.

Lead generation for builders: what brings in the bigger jobs
Builders get enquiries from five places — referrals, lead sites, their Google Business Profile, their own website and paid ads. They are not interchangeable, and the bigger renovations and extensions come from the ones that let a homeowner see your work before they ever ring you.

Shared leads for renovation builders: paying to compete
A lead site sells the same homeowner to several builders at once, so the job is decided by who rings first and who quotes lowest. That is a price war you pay to enter — and it is the opposite of how the bigger renovations are won.

CRM for builders: do you actually need one?
A CRM organises enquiries — it does not make them better. Here is when a builder genuinely needs one, when the tools you already use are enough, and what to ask before you accept one bundled into a marketing package.

How much does a website cost in Australia?
Real ranges, how we price ours, and the four things that actually move the number. Most quotes differ because they are for different jobs, not because someone is overcharging.

What is AI lead qualification?
Software doing the first pass on your enquiries — working out which ones are genuine, chasing the details they arrived without, and passing on what is worth your time. Three quite different surfaces share the name, and the useful versions use more than one.
