Marketing for landscapers that brings in the whole backyard, not the mowing

You design and build outdoor spaces — and the phone rings for a lawn mow. Stop driving out to quote jobs you were never going to win. Get a website that shows off the backyards you build, answers people at 9pm, and sorts the full makeovers from the tidy-ups before they reach your phone. Month to month, and you can walk away any time.

A half-built sandstone block retaining wall in a sloping backyard at dusk, a work light on a stand, garden lights not yet installed and a coiled hose on the levelled soil, a small excavator above.

The problem

Where the work goes now

01

“Do you do mowing?”

Search for a landscaper and half the results are lawn and garden maintenance, so half the enquiries are too. If you design and build, every tidy-up request is a call you return just to say no.

02

Big plans, no idea what it costs

People turn up with a picture of a finished backyard from Pinterest and no idea what it takes to build. Finding out if the budget matches the dream takes a site visit — and plenty of the time it doesn’t.

03

Every quote starts with a drive out

Slope, soil, drainage, getting a machine in — you can’t price a backyard from a two-line message. So you drive out, measure up and quote, whether or not they were ever going to go ahead.

04

Your best work is behind a fence

A finished backyard is private. The street doesn’t see it, and neither do the neighbours. Unless it’s on your website, the only people who know how good it is are the ones who paid for it.

01

The nearest work we have done

We haven’t built for a landscaper yet, and we’d rather tell you here than have you find out on a call. The closest is AHO Renovations, a renovation builder in Brisbane — a different trade, with the same problem: plenty of enquiries for work the owner doesn’t want. His contact form was broken, his site looked like every other small builder’s, and his Google profile views were down 73% on the year before. We gave his website a new black and gold look, rebuilt it around the bigger work he wants, and put an assistant on it. It went live on 5 September 2026.

  • The jobs he’d only have said no to — a pool, a laundry on its own, small bathroom repairs — get turned away by the assistant before they reach his phone
  • Seven enquiries in just over five weeks, and he tells us he’s busier than he’s been
  • Homeowners from as far as Mango Hill and Victoria Point have got in touch — suburbs his website was never aimed at
  • He hasn’t spent a dollar on Google Ads
02

No lock-in, and what we’ll never do

Plenty of trades have been burned by a 12-month contract and a sales rep who only calls when you try to leave. These are promises, not sales talk.

  • No lock-in. After the build it’s month to month, and either of us can end it with 30 days’ notice
  • Your enquiries are yours. We never sell or share them
  • We won’t promise you a number of leads or a spot on Google
  • The assistant never names a price you haven’t approved, never promises a finish date, and never says whether a retaining wall, deck or anything structural needs an approval or an engineer — that’s your call
  • Your real reviews, and only projects you built. Nothing goes on the site under your name that you can’t back up
03

We don’t hand it over and disappear

Every finished backyard is a new page worth having. Send us the before and after photos and it normally goes up by the next business day. Every month we look at what came in, what people asked and what they searched for, and make the site better — before the spring rush, not in the middle of it.

Questions

Questions landscapers ask us

Have you worked with landscapers before?

Not yet. Our work so far is with a renovation builder, AHO Renovations. It works the same way — show the work you want more of, get found for it, and sort the enquiries before they reach you — but we won’t pretend to a track record in your trade that we don’t have.

Will the chatbot turn away maintenance work?

Only if you tell her to. Some landscapers want no maintenance at all; some only take it from past clients. She works from your list, and anything you haven’t ruled in or out she passes to you.

Will she say whether a wall or deck needs approval?

No. She says it depends on the site and that you’ll take them through it. Whether something needs an engineer or an approval is your call, not hers.

Will the chatbot quote prices?

Only figures you’ve approved, and none at all if you’d rather. If you want to publish a starting price for a typical project and nothing more, she’ll say exactly that and pass anything more specific to you.

Do you sell leads?

No. We build the thing that brings in your own — the website, the pages that get you found, and the assistant that sorts what comes in. An enquiry from your website goes to you and nobody else.

Am I locked in?

No. After the build it’s month to month, and either of us can end it with 30 days’ notice.

I already have a website. Do I have to start again?

Usually, yes — the pages, the enquiry form and the assistant are built to work together. We bring across whatever is worth keeping, like your reviews and photos. If you’d rather keep your site as it is, we can still have enquiries answered for you without touching it.

Want the next enquiry to be one worth your time?

Tell us the work you want more of and where you want it. If a new website is not what is holding you back, we will say so.
